Sassafras Cabin

It was exactly what we were looking for. It has a great views off the back porch even though there is not a picture of it!

We got a little confused on location. Google maps failed us that night but travel and being dark out when we arrived really made it hard to see. Place was quite, beautiful, clean and cozy. We had a very nice stay.

Do yourself a favor - stay here. - the property is beautiful - comfortable beds (even the pullout couch is really comfy) - wonderful hot tub - amazing GIANT jetted bathtub - plus you can order amazing cuts of meat for your stay or for when you leave (American Wagyu or Angus from their ranch) The best cabin and property in the steeleville area.

Such a beautiful cabin with beautiful views! We will definitely be looking at trying to book another one of her cabins!

Very nice place and quite . Very clean and accommodating to anything we needed. River access was a very nice plus as well.

Of course we absolutely loved the hot tub. The view was amazing. We all had an amazing time and would love to come back in the future.

Exactly what we expected! We had a great time with our family over the weekend. The kids loved the combo of the hot tub and all the outdoors. We had all the necessities to enjoy the outdoors but relax at the end of the night. Looking forward to going back!

Loved this adorable, quaint cabin! Perfect for me, my husband, two teens and our lab! It was clean, cozy, comfortable and had all the items needed in the kitchen to make a meal. You have to drive/walk to river access, but it's only a couple minutes just down the road (two great spots) and it's easy to get in and out. It was secluded enough to feel like you're away from everything, but also close enough to town to run and grab groceries, or other needed items. We met the owners and they were so friendly! We got a little lost at first coming in, so make sure you look for the signs that direct you to Murphy's Place, 4J Vacation Rentals property (Sassafras Cabin). It might be helpful to have exact directions sent once you book the place....since it's situated pretty far back from the road. Such a wonderful get away! We will be back for sure!

Quiet, clean, all the extras…loved it! Jessica is friendly and accommodating. We brought the kids along this time and everyone enjoyed themselves.

My family and I decided on an experience instead of too many presents this year. We definitely had an experience- fishing and hiking on Christmas day, thanks to perfect weather and a beautiful location. The Sassafrass cabin was a comfortable fit and had all we needed. There was even a Christmas tree! We highly recommend this stay.

We loved this place! The only drawback was the beds were a little noisy when you moved. Can’t wait to come back when it’s warm outside and take advantage of the pavilion by the river! Beautiful views

Everything was outstanding! Clean, quiet, private and that hot tub!! We had an amazing time reconnecting after 15yrs together. And I’m so grateful we found this beautiful property! Next time we will share it with the kids and I will pet that pretty horse down the lane! We will be back for sure!! Side note… I think I might have a new obsession for cows! Watching them live there best life on this farm is refreshing to see! We loved every second there!

Great place to get away from the noise of the city. Lots of wildlife and fresh country air. We have been here twice already now and will return again!

The view was stunning from the cabin overlooking the river. We loved relaxing by the firepit and in the outdoor hot tub. It was a lovely weekend!

I have zero complaints about our stay and the property and couldn’t even find a complaint we tried. Crystal answered all questions we had quickly prior to our stay. The property was very clean and maintained very well. The house was stocked with everything we could possibly need. It was tastefully put together and had all the perks and amenities we would want. Our expectations were exceeded and we highly recommend booking with Crystal. We will absolutely be coming back this summer.

The cabin is very nice and clean and the property is secluded with beautiful views of the river. We really enjoyed walking the property, the outdoor jacuzzi tub, and the gas fireplace. Very relaxing trip! I would highly recommend this cabin.

The cabin was a very quiet and relaxing getaway. The Meramec Spring was a short ride away and was a beautiful spot to spend the day.

We stayed at the Sassafras Cabin for a long weekend. Firstly, the pictures don’t do it justice! The cabin was super cute,, well appointed, amazing views and a great hot tub. Plenty of privacy but there were areas on the property for guests to get together and hang out down by the river on the large patio. We will definitely be going back!

This was a really nice place to stay. Has a cozy cabin feeling to it. This location is great and the view on the back deck in the evenings is fantastic. Although we didn't get a chance to take advantage of it, the gazebo down by the river also looked great. Highly recommend this place if you're looking to get away.

The Sassafras is a darling cabin for 4 people. We enjoyed the hot tub, full kitchen, comfortable beds, and woodland atmosphere.

Our family of 3 and 2 pups enjoyed our stay in the Sassafras immensely! Whether you just want to relax on the deck or in the hot tub, explore the wooded paths & caves, float, fish, sun, cook, BBQ, or drive in to town for supper, ice cream, or comb unique shops - you'll find something for everyone here. Our hosts were very gracious and accommodating, and we were quite envious of their dream setup! Cabins are very clean, spacious, and everything is in great condition & working order. Everything you need to enjoy your stay is included, free firewood for the pit, wi-fi, cable, towels, bedding, kitchen items, hot tub. We can't wait to go back, it's the perfect quick get-a-way from St Louis. Eager to try all of their cabins! Each are just as perfect and unique as the next!

My wife enjoyed this cabin for our 5th anniversary. We had been on a few trips before, cruises, bed and breakfast, hotel, but this was by far the most relaxing stay we have ever had! I would recommend it to anyway.
