Hillside Cabin

Stayed to visit with local relatives. This place offered the perfect space to visit and socialize.

It was a nice location that was very quiet. I think it would nice to visit in the summer or fall.

This home is amazing. It is so relaxing to sit out and look at the countryside. At night the stars are fabulous. The home is great and Jessica was a great hostess.

we loved your family land, it is beautiful, I feel so lucky to have experienced it, the Hillside cabin is perfect, and even had low barriers to enter the cabin around the rear!!!! the private river access was so easy to get to and a fabulous place to enjoy a cool dip!! WE loved our stay and hope to visit another time!

I wanted to find a quiet place on rural land not too far from St. Louis to get away for a few days, and this place was PERFECT! No complicated check-in/check-out, and directions were very clear. Beds were comfortable with plenty of good pillows. Great to be able to bring the dog along too!

Couldn't have enjoyed the place more. Had a very nice relaxed vacation and enjoyed the peace and quiet very much. The river was beautiful and so were the fields. House had everything we needed and we were very comfortable. Thank you.

We spent time at this property in order to visit friends, go fishing and visit wineries. The house was very clean and the yard well tended so our dogs were also comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

We loved staying at Hillside Cabin. The house was great, but the property is the real star. It’s so relaxing and peaceful! We loved taking a long walk to the Meramac River and enjoyed the back deck. We would stay again!

The cabin is set on a beautiful property! Jessica was great and very helpful. The cabins are spaced out and the people are quiet. It was the perfect spot for our family to get away and go hiking in some of the nearby parks. Steeleville is close and has a grocery story and dining. We would stay again.

We had a blast, there is open fields all around you, you do share back yard with other cabin but still plenty of room.

Property was excellent. It was beautiful and peaceful. The cabin was excellent and had everything we needed to prepare a Thanksgiving meal!

We had an amazing time here. My children want to come back and see the horses sometime soon. The cabin was clean and everything was set up nicely for us. I cannot wait to come back one day! Very scenic and being among horses made it spectacular for us! Thank You for the wonderful experience!

We stayed with our little girl as a short get away. It was perfect for our little family. My husband and I loved the peace and quiet, and our kiddo loved all of the new space to explore outside. Beautiful scenery, amazing quality family time, and Jessica was super responsive as a host. We will be back!

Great weekend getaway to see family. We’ve stayed before and are super pleased with some of the improvements since last time! Firewood on site was so convenient. It was very clean as always. Jessica is so easy to get in contact with. We had a great time as always!

Our group of girls really enjoyed our stay during a bachelorette party. The owners were really friendly and helpful. The property is very beautiful and secluded. We had a great experience floating on the river one of the days as well. Would definitely recommend!

We stayed here since we had a wedding just down the road. It was a perfect little place with a gorgeous view.

This property was exactly as listed online. A 2-bedroom cabin, it has a family room with TV, dining area, kitchen, and nice big back porch. It sat at the top of rolling hills on a cattle ranch with a beautiful view. The bed was very comfortable and there was closet space for clothing. The galley kitchen was small but had what I needed for a short visit. Jessica had a French-press style coffee pot but emailed me to see if I wanted her to purchase a regular coffee pot. Since I don't drink coffee much in the summer I didn't need it but appreciated the offer. There were only 2 things I needed but didn't have and they were a hair dryer, since most places have one I don't take mine with me any more. With many people accessing the nearby river for a day of floating, a hair dryer would be nice. The other thing was in the family room it would be nice if there was a coffee or side table, so you can place your drink or snack on it while watching TV. I improvised with an extra dining room chair. This cabin shares a large common backyard space with another bigger cabin, but otherwise is secluded. My neighbors in the other cabin weren't intrusive so it was fine. This visit was exactly what I needed, a short break from my hectic work life. The next time I need a place I would definitely come back but might like to stay longer and probably would look at the other cabin for its added amenities. Communicating with Jessica was easy. She was a very responsive hostess, and I really appreciated the little gift in the freezer on my arrival!

This is a great property beautiful views. The perfect place to kick back and relax. We loved being able to bring our dog and the house was had most everything you would need. Would stay again!

It was a great experience. I have returned to stay at Kickin K many times. Never disappointed. Always a wonderful experience and the nicest people!

Incredible place that my husband and our Boston terrier enjoyed from the comfort of the clean, beautiful place and all accessible communication and attentions walking in nature. a beautiful ranch to treat yourself and enjoy we hope to return soon (we bought fresh eggs and delicious meat)
