Country Cabin

Wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Country Cabin so much. It was exactly what we were expecting. Everything was clean, the scenery was beautiful and hot tub was amazing. We have already booked our next stay and can't wait to go back.

We were visiting family over Christmas, and this was a perfect place to stay. Quiet, clean, cozy, and the fam loved the hot tub to relax in at night. Jessica was great, very welcoming with excellent communication. Would definitely come back.

Extremely quiet property with beautiful views all around. Plenty of walking paths to bring the dogs. We felt like we had the whole property to ourselves. Very peaceful. Also, if you are a bird watcher, you will love it here. I've never seen so many different birds in one spot. Additionally, the Country Cabin has 3 spacious bedrooms and 2 bathrooms plus a large living room for watching movies. The hot tub is clean and works great. Overall great rental. No complaints.

Super quiet, super clean, nice large hot tub

Went for my girlfriends 21st Birthday, had a great time. Jessica was very helpful and even called us to help us find the river access. We will be going back! Very relaxing and overall an amazing experience.

Jessica was very communicative and accommodating! The cabin was great and had everything we could possible need. It was so cozy!

My husband and I haven't been able to get away for close to two years because of our jobs and our farms. We decided to make it a priority and spent three nights in this quaint area that was so beautiful, breathtaking and peaceful that it was just exactly what we needed. We will be coming back hopefully in March by ourselves and again in the summer with our family to enjoy this spot to the fullest. Jessica was a most gracious host and made everything super easy and was available if we needed her. Thanks so much for this amazing time we had!

Hidden gem! Must see! The views are beautiful and the rental was exactly as we expected. We will be returning next year for another adventure.

Our family loves our visits here each time we come. The location is peaceful with a beautiful view and we regularly see deer roaming the property. We loved the updates to the kitchen and the new tile flooring in the bathrooms. The new bed in the master was a huge plus as well. The house is always clean and Jessica is the best property manager! Great open communication with any issues big or small. If you get the chance to purchase their steak, do it! Probably the best steak I have had.

This was a beautiful place to stay and the river access was amazing. The cabin had everything we needed. We had a campfire and enjoyed the daily visit from the cows with their calves. Would love to stay here again and kayak on the river.

Stunning view and amazing cabin!

We enjoyed our stay at the Country Cabin. The farm was beautiful! We saw deer every day right outside our cabin. It was also nice to be able to rent the canoes from them. So Handy! You have to drive about 1 mile to the river. The kids enjoyed jumping off the bluff . Jessica and her family were very welcoming!

Pastoral scenes; full moons while sitting beside a crackling fire; access to two of the best spots on the Meramac River; relaxing in a warm hot tub after a day of swimming and exploring-these are just a few of the experiences you can expect while staying at the Country Cabin!!
We loved our stay there and felt so relaxed and rejuvenated by the end. 6 of us were very comfortable in this well-equipped cabin. Justin and Jessica were quick to answer questions and took care of any issues we had quickly. They even stopped by on our last evening and it was a delight to meet them. I highly recommend their cabins- they have several. We will be booking again soon!!

Staying at the Country Cabin was a perfect experience. It was very clean and offered all the necessary amenities. Had a great set up, great fire pit, hot tub, comfortable shaded area. A quick drive over to the river too! Also take advantage of the floating the river if you can while there. Even saw saw two fawns and a doe venturing through the property!

If you are in doubt about booking this place let me just say…don’t be! Everything was wonderful! Remote, but still had wifi in case you needed anything. Perfect private access on the water across from the most beautiful bluff. Could not have asked for a better place to escape from reality. We cannot wait to be back!!

Wonderful, peaceful place to stay. So quiet and relaxing. My husband and I desperately needed some time away from the children and farm, and this was just the respite we needed. Everything was clean, and there was nothing we needed that was lacking. Do not hesitate to book here.

This place was so awesome! We enjoyed the view, the hottub and the cool private access to the river. The owners were amazing host and great people. We will definitely be coming back to rent again!

Had a great weekend getaway here! Loved the house and the hot tub. We were able to bring our dog, which, is so awesome for us! Loved the beautiful scenery around the house and the lovely vineyard that’s just down the road. Overall, a great anniversary weekend to getaway. Great place to relax.

Unbeatable views from the cabin. Clean, well equipped kitchen with everything we needed. Nicest hosts. The hot tub, patio area was a great place to come back to after a long day. 10 min from town. We will be back!

Jessica was a great host! The cabin is clean and comfortable. The hot tub was well maintained and the fire pit next to the house makes it a great evening venue. There is a rentable place very close by so it’s not as intimate as we thought but could be fun if you have 2 groups to rent both. Other than that we were very happy with the setup and the entire property is beautiful.

We greatly enjoyed our stay here. The cabin was very nice and the hot tub put it over the top. Yes, you share a large yard with a cabin next door but otherwise the views are rolling hills with grazing cattle. The farm dogs were very friendly; one came to say hi by our cabin and another was intrigued when I went for my morning run on the property. Hiking in the area is good as expected and on a rainy day we visited the Meramec Caverns which is a bit of a tourist trap but very impressive nonetheless. The kitchen is well-equipped so you can actually cook a real meal (unlike in some other places I’ve been). You may want to bring/buy your own pantry items though since there weren’t many. The owner is very responsive to any questions or issues you might have.

Everything was clean and the hot tub was great. Perfect for a weekend getaway with our dog. Had a picnic down by the river and enjoyed delicious steaks, eggs, and sausages from 4Js!

We loved staying at the country cabin. The location is lovely and peaceful with beautiful views all around. We enjoyed grilling delicious steaks and burgers from the porch and being greeted and visited by a friendly white dog. Loved going down to the river a short distance away and seeing the cattle and deer from the windows and porch. It was rainy and cold during our stay, so we can’t wait to come back again in the warmer weather!

Jessica is a great hostess. House was clean and comfortable. Hot tub felt great. Beautiful views, saw lots of deer and other farm animals. Nice fire pit, too windy for us to enjoy. Nice location for trout fishing. Highly recommend.

My wife and had the best weekend here!! The views of the hundreds of acres were amazing! Jessica and Justin were the best hosts! We can’t wait to come back this summer with friends for some floating! Also, we just had their 4J steaks for dinner when we got home. Very good!! Definitely stock up.

I had a nice relaxing weekend at the cabin house. Took a drive around the surrounding area, saw lots of deer, horses, cattle and other wildlife. Enjoying the sunrise with a cup of coffeee, while sitting in the hot tub on a December morning made the trip well worth it. Thank You as I look forward to revisiting with some friends this coming summer.

This is a beautiful, peaceful property in the fall. There were deer each morning and evening. The host does a great job making you feel welcome. We would love to come back!!!

This property is located in a beautiful relaxing setting. We enjoyed local restaurants for lunch. Evenings were spent relaxing on the patio or the hot tub.

We desperately needed to get away from the city to enjoy some nature - the Country Cabin provided that for us. We walked our dogs who loved all the new sights and smells, sat by a fire at night, and took a lot of photos of the beautiful scenery. We picked up food from Rich's Famous Burgers and enjoyed it while sitting under the carport, at the cabin, while taking in the view. The lady at Rich's, now I can not recall her name, was VERY welcoming - we chuckled a bit during our exchange. 🙂 Burgers were delicious! The cabin had enough space for us to stretch out, while not feeling too big. The kitchen had everything we needed except an 8"x8" pan to bake cornbread it. We purchased one at the local grocery store and gifted it to the cabin. 🙂 We brought our own spices. There is another cabin pretty close to this one, but I feel it woud be more of a non-issue as there is a good amount of green space between them and each has their own "fire pit" location. It was not occupied during our stay. Jessica was quick to respond to messages, friendly, and thanked me after I provided a rundown on how we left the cabin. I can only imagine the beauty of the fall leaves . . . we saw a very small representation when we were there earlier this month (October). If y'all are thinking about a trip to Steelville, I recommend considering the Country Cabin. You'll be amongst nature after leaving the hustle behind . . .

We had such a wonderful time staying here! The house is so clean and we'll appointed! We came for my cousin's wedding at Crossbuck barn and I don't think there is anywhere closer to stay. The covered patio was perfect for family to come by and visit on a rainy day and we used it every night to enjoy the peace and quiet of the location!

We came to Missouri for our sons graduation from US Army basic training at Fort Leonard Wood. We decided to make a long vacation out of it and chose to stay at this vacation rental. We had an amazing time, Jessica and Justin were wonderful! They were very accommodating and just a blessing to us. The home was perfect! The beds were super comfy, the home was clean, the kitchen was equipped with all we needed, the steaks we purchased from the farm were AWESOME on the grill, and the hot tub was spectacular! We loved exploring the property, playing in the river, driving to the field to look at the stars, watching the sunrise and the beautiful sunsets! We even had a deer family visit us multiple times. Thank you so much for sharing your property with us. We highly recommend this property and we will be back again!
